Obruk is a large and deep pit formed as a result of the melting of karstic rocks by underground waters and the collapse of these rocks over time. Çıralı Obruk is approximately 250 metres in diameter and 20 metres deep. This natural formation fascinates visitors to the region with its dramatic structure that suddenly emerges on the surrounding flat terrain.
The area around the sinkhole is ecologically rich with its natural vegetation and rare plant species.
